Happy July!

B+O+N+U+S = BONUS
Come this July 2007, its gonna be a Bonus month. Firstly, all Army personnel will be receiving pay increment that's gonna stretch across the board including NSF. NSF will be receiving $50 extra. Although I'm gonna take for another 2 months ($100) before I ORD this Sep, well, its better than nothing. Thus,
$560 + $50 = $610
Besides, since we are officially 21 now, we couldn't be happier to receive the GST package that will be given within 4 years. Thus, if I were to receive $250 for the first year, all NSF/NSmen will be receiving $100 extra in recognition of their contributions to Total Defence.
$610 + $250 + $100 = $960
Oh my god! Happy Happy!
Anyway, I'm on patch test this weekend. Thus its kind of burnt. I'm feeling extremely uncomfortable with a paper-like patch sticking on my back. Worst, I can't bathe for 48 hours till Sunday noon. At first when I told Fanny, she misread my SMS and thought I can't breathe. (-_-"). Can't breathe = Dead!

And today I've learnt something new in Aviaton term: X/Wind

A crosswind is any wind that is blowing perpendicular to a line of travel, or perpendicular to a direction. For example, in aviation, a crosswind is the component of wind which is blowing 90 degrees to the runway, making a landing more difficult than if the wind were blowing straight down the runway. In fact if a crosswind is strong enough it may exceed an aircraft's crosswind limit, and attempting to land under such conditions could cause structural damage to the aircraft's undercarriage.

Here, a Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-400 makes a light crosswind landing in Zurich, Switzerland. Great entertainment and it is amazing how the pilots pull it off!

And another B747-400 with the very extreme crosswind landing in Hong Kong.
